User Guide

1. Input texts for comparison

The page contains two input columns: left box for original text, right box for revised text. Two input options are available:

1. Directly paste your text into the input area
2. Upload local files via the file selector to load content automatically. Supported formats include txt, js, html, css, json, md, py, java, c, cpp, go, rs, ts. The clear button next to each input box can wipe out all content instantly.

2. Switch comparison modes

Three comparison rules are provided at the bottom for flexible use:

• Character Compare: Tracks tiny character changes precisely for codes, passwords and short text validation
• Word Compare: Locates edits by word units for essays, copywriting revision
• Line Compare: Highlights entire changed lines, perfect for config files and source code inspection

3. Read comparison results

All discrepancies will display in the lower panel after comparison: Red background stands for removed content while green background marks newly added content. Entire modified lines get colored highlight under line mode. No colored blocks mean the two texts are fully matched.

4. Practical auxiliary features

1. Clear All button: Erase both input boxes and comparison results in one click to start a new comparison
2. This tool works well for code editing, copy adjustment, note revision and configuration file comparison
